An actor on stage interviews impossible characters, addressing a large video screen. The pre-recorded video features the great patrons of history who from time to time appear set in fantastic scenarios. The video-theater performance allows for various combinations and adaptations, nonetheless, in its conceptual framework, it traces the history of Western art: from the imperial patronage of ancient Rome to modern patronage. The style is ironic and surreal, with mock direct video, but it faithfully traces salient historical events in a quick review. This creates a reflection on the relations between political/economic and imaginary/artistic powers.
